Description
The Red Wheelbarrow, an independent bookstore in Paris 6th arrondissement, is raising funds for their two-part expansion project!
The Red Wheelbarrow, an independent bookstore in Paris, has just created The Red Balloon, Paris's first fully bilingual children's bookstore! We are now raising funds to repaint the exterior of the second shop, redo the signage and update the electricity in both stores, and create a more interactive website.
Founded in 2001 in the Marais, it has become a well-loved, welcoming, and inclusive community bookstore.
The paint and signage need to be redone so the stores are recognizable and the electricity upgrade is necessary due to the age of the stores. And as anyone who has visited our website knows, it needs help.
Your generosity will go a long way toward helping us continue to stock the latest novels, indie press reads, history, and more for both adults and kids, host events with authors, and welcome customers in these historical Parisian bookshops.
This is where we need your help. We aim to raise 5,000€ to repaint the façade of No.11 rue des Medicis and redo the signage and window lighting inside and outside of both shops.
Other ways you can help?
We know times are hard and it may not always be possible to help with a monetary donation. But you can still help by spreading the word about our project. Please share and share widely the link to our project. Talk and post about our project to your friends, family, community and of course on your social networks. Every little bit of exposure and every time you share our story, you are helping us out!
